Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Copyeditor / Proofreader (Pharmaceutical / Medical) to join their dynamic team. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of brand guidelines, and a passion for delivering... high-quality content. This is a 4-6 month contract opportunity that is fully remote (PST time zone).

Copyeditor / Proofreader (Pharmaceutical / Medical)Responsibilities:
• Edit and proofread copy for assigned brands and other projects.
• Fact-check copy using reliable sources, ensuring accuracy and credibility.
• Collaborate effectively with the Editorial Director and team to maintain quality standards and meet deadlines.
• Prioritize tasks and manage workload efficiently to deliver high-quality work.
• Develop a deep understanding of assigned brands and product categories.
• Contribute innovative ideas to improve processes and minimize errors.
• Mentor junior team members and freelancers to uphold editorial standards.
• Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment.
• Create and maintain brand style guides and bibliographies.
• Adhere to AMA style and other editorial styles as required by brand needs.

Copyeditor / Proofreader (Pharmaceutical / Medical)Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• 3-5 years of medical editing and fact-checking experience in a pharma ad agency or medical education setting
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Adaptable to changing deadlines and able to provide creative solutions
• Knowledge of AMA style and FDA guidelines for pharmaceutical products and devices
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word), Adobe Acrobat, and/or ProofHQ
