They are seeking a Coordinator, Business Development (Litigation) to support business development initiatives and track client materials within the Litigation practice.ResponsibilitiesCollaborates with senior members of the Business Development team to execute the full range of practice group marketing and business development activitiesActs as a liaison between the Litigation practice group and other internal teams, ensuring alignment on business development prioritiesAssists in the preparation of tailored pitches, proposals and RFP responses for litigation mattersDrafts and edits content, that includes practice descriptions, attorney bios, and case studies; ensuring alignment with client needs and Firm brandingMaintains a library of litigation-specific proposal materials for future useCollaborates with the Experience team on the collection of matter descriptionsCoordinates with the Marketing team to update and maintain various Firm mailings lists used for event and client mailings, including data entry and researchCoordinates with Marketing Communications and Social Media teams to promote the Firm, practice areas, and attorneysCoordinates with the Strategic Intelligence team to generate reports on specific clients or prospective clients, industry and market trends, and competitive intelligence reportsConducts additional research on prospects and competitors to identify business development opportunitiesMonitors trends, legal developments and market activity to provide insights to the teamPrepares briefing materials for client meetings, events, and interviewsCoordinates with the Events team on in-person and virtual conferences, seminars, forums, sponsorships, and speaking engagementsAssists with events as needed, including on-site supportOversees event logistics, including invitations, RSVPs, and follow-up communicationsResearches conferences and organizations to identify sponsorship and speaking opportunities for attorneysGathers and maintains information on business development plans and budgetsCoordinates and tracks the status of various business development initiatives, events, and webinarsMonitors and assesses pitch and proposal activities, then follows up with team members to document and share outcomes and best practicesCompiles and tracks practice matter experience in the Firm's global credential databaseSkillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Knowledge of relevant Firm computer software programs (e.g. Outlook) with the ability to learn new software, operating systems, databases, and procedures quicklyDemonstrates strategic focus and self-motivationDemonstrates a professional demeanor, high emotional intelligence, cultural sensitivity and ability to interact effectively with all levelsDemonstrates strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines and stay productive in a fast-paced environmentAbility to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with people at various levels within the FirmDemonstrates strong attention to detail and provides high quality deliverablesAbility to organize, multi-task and prioritize work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to handle multiple projects and shifting prioritiesAbility to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentialityAbility to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environmentAbility to work well independently as well as effectively within a teamFlexibility to adjust hours and work the hours necessary to meet operating and business needsBachelor's degreeA minimum of one year of related experience in a law firm, or two years of related experience in a professional services environmentBenefitsComprehensive health care (medical, dental, vision), savings plan/401(k) and voluntary benefits.Generous paid time off.Paid leave options, including parental.In-classroom, remote, and on-demand learning and professional development opportunities.Robust well-being classes and programs.Opportunities to give back and make an impact in local communities.Company OverviewSkadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates delivers the highest quality advice and novel solutions to legal challenges, enabling clients to achieve their business goals.
