Convenience Store Cashier
Job Summary
We are seeking a responsible, reliable, and hardworking cashier/clerk to join our convenience store and restaurant team. As the primary point of contact for customers, you will be responsible for ensuring excellent service, smooth operations, and maintaining a welcoming environment. This role requires someone who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, stay on task, and assist with both the store and restaurant sides of the business as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers warmly and provide excellent service.
Handle all transactions efficiently, including cash, credit, and digital payments.
Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries or take orders.
Assist with restaurant duties during busy times, including running orders and packaging food.
Stock and organize shelves to ensure products are always available and neatly arranged.
Maintain cleanliness throughout the store and restaurant, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing.
Monitor inventory levels and report when stock is low.
Follow store policies and procedures to ensure security and compliance.
Handle any other tasks typical of a convenience store clerk.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in retail, food service, or customer service is a plus but not required.
Strong multitasking skills and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and basic math skills for cash handling and retail calculations.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
Must be reliable, responsible, and able to work independently.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Familiarity with stocking, merchandising, and retail sales processes
Compensation:
Competitive hourly pay (based on experience)
