The Controller for our healthcare company will be responsible for... overseeing the financial operations and reporting for our organization. This role will be fully remote, allowing the candidate to work from anywhere. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial reporting and analysis, internal controls and compliance, cash management, and treasury functions in the healthcare industry. They must also have strong leadership skills to effectively manage a team, as well as strategic planning abilities to guide our company's financial decisions. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are necessary to collaborate with various departments and external partners. The candidate must also have a strong understanding of GAAP and regulatory requirements in the healthcare industry, as well as experience with accounting software and financial systems.
Key Responsibilities*
Oversee all financial operations for the healthcare company
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
Analyze financial data and provide insights for decision-making and strategic planning
Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
Manage cash flow and treasury functions
Lead and mentor a team of financial professionals
Identify and mitigate financial risks
Collaborate with various departments to support their financial needs
Communicate financial results to stakeholders and provide recommendations for improvement
Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations
Qualifications*
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA certification preferred
10+ years of experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in the healthcare industry
Strong understanding of GAAP and regulatory requirements in healthcare
Experience with financial systems and accounting software
Prior team leadership experience
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Proven track record of strategic planning and decision support
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
