Contract/Grant Specialist

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Contract/Grant Specialist to manage and oversee contractual and grant-related activities within our organization. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring compliance, optimizing contract negotiations, and supporting business development initiatives. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where expertise in procurement, legal drafting, and contract management is essential for success. Duties • Manage the full lifecycle of contracts and grants, including drafting, review, negotiation, and execution. • Oversee procurement processes, vendor management, and contractor management to ensure compliance with organizational policies and federal regulations such as the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and UCC law. • Conduct thorough document review, records management, and compliance management to ensure all contractual obligations are met accurately and efficiently. • Collaborate with legal teams on intellectual property law, legal drafting, and change management to mitigate risks and protect organizational interests. • Support business development efforts through proposal writing, strategic planning, pricing analysis, and technical writing. • Develop acquisition strategies, grant solicitations, requests for proposals (RFPs), funding opportunity announcements (FOAs), and related documents. • Conduct market research, cost analyses, and risk assessments to support acquisition or grant planning. • Drafting and managing evaluation criteria and scoring methodologies. • Facilitating evaluation teams and technical review panels. • Ensuring integrity, confidentiality, and fairness in the evaluation process. • Maintaining all required source selection documentation. • Provide guidance to program and technical personnel on procurement/grant requirements, competitive procedures, and policy compliance. • Conduct cost and price reviews, negotiate terms and conditions, and prepare award recommendations. • Ensure compliance with procurement regulations (e.g., FAR/DFARS), Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200), agency-specific rules, or organizational policies. • Prepare award documents, agreements, contracts, modifications, and funding instruments. Qualifications • Three (3) years experience in procurement, vendor management, contract negotiation, and document review within a corporate or government setting. • Strong understanding of compliance management, UCC law, FAR regulations, and contractor management practices. • Excellent legal drafting skills with familiarity in intellectual property law and technical writing. • Demonstrated ability in strategic planning, proposal writing, pricing analysis, and business development activities. • Exceptional negotiation skills coupled with effective change management capabilities. • Strong organizational skills with meticulous records management abilities. • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or related field; advanced certifications or experience in legal or contract management preferred. This role is integral to maintaining our organization’s contractual integrity while supporting growth initiatives through strategic negotiations and compliance oversight.
