Contract Specialist - Part-Time Opportunity - Remote
A forward-thinking private equity-backed business, is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to join the team on a part-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Contracts Specialist to lead a team of trainee solicitors, while working closely with both the business and its established legal team.
Key responsibilities include:
Β Supervising, managing, and mentoring trainee solicitors involved in contract and engagement letter review.
Β Acting as the primary knowledge centre within the business on engagement letters and contracts, including acting as the gatekeeper of precedent documents.
Β Drafting and negotiating engagement letters and contracts with third parties.
Β Developing standard, pre-agreed documents with key third party providers.
Β Supervising outsourcing providers to ensure timely and accurate document review.
Β Accurately tracking and monitoring engagement letters and contracts and ensure that completed documents are stored in an efficient and... comprehensive manner.
Ideally you will have proven experience as a contract specialist or commercial lawyer, either in-house with a contract management team or in private practice in a supervisory or management role. You will also be innovative, with a strong focus on process improvement, including exploring the use of AI tools to enhance contract management.
