Contract School Based Social Worker - Pontiac ,MI. School Year 25/26

Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced School Social Workers for a full-time role with school districts in the Pontiac, Michigan area for the 2025–2026 school year. This role is ideal for compassionate professionals who are passionate about supporting students’ emotional, social, and academic development within a collaborative educational environment.

Typical Responsibilities:
• Provide individual and group counseling to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
• Collaborate with educators, families, and outside agencies to support student success
• Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans based on student needs
• Assist in the development and implementation of IEPs and 504 plans
• Provide crisis intervention and support services
• Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community services

Minimum Requirements (Michigan):
• Valid Michigan School Social Worker License (310 Approval) issued by the Michigan Department of Education
• Master’s degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program
• Completion of a supervised school social work practicum/internship
• Ability to pass state and district background checks
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Previous school-based experience preferred
