Key Responsibilities
Provide nutrition counseling and education to children and families, with training and mentorship provided as needed
Assist in developing personalized meal plans and strategies for improving family nutrition
Conduct one-on-one consultations via telehealth, ensuring comprehensive care for clients
Create and present educational workshops on pediatric and family nutrition topics, promoting healthy eating habits and supporting families in achieving their nutritional goals
Collaborate with our team to ensure comprehensive care for clients, maintaining accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and progress
Contribute to practice growth by attracting new clients through networking and community outreach, and assist in developing marketing strategies to expand our client base
Attend monthly to bi-monthly meetings, helping to generate ideas to grow the company and staying up-to-date on best practices in pediatric and family nutrition
Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
A current Registered Dietitian (RD) credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration
State licensure, if required where you live
A passion for pediatric and family nutrition, with knowledge of Eating Disorders, Disordered Eating, and general health and wellness
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both children and adults
A willingness to learn and apply motivational interviewing techniques
Comfort with technology, including telehealth platforms and electronic records systems
Enthusiasm for networking and building client relationships
Preferred qualifications include:
A Master's degree in Nutrition or a related field, or be in the process of completing a Master's degree
Experience working with children and families, although training and mentorship will be provided for entry-level practitioners
