Content Writer/Editor
Role: Content Writer and Editor Contract: 2-4 months Location: Remote Rate: $45/hour W2 We are looking for someone to help review and elevate the content on a large website. The ideal candidate must have experience working in a website content management system (preferably Drupal, will train on specifics) to build and edit content. They should know how to write easy-to-read content and create skimmable pages, and how to tune into the unique needs of a government website. We will provide project structure and guidance, but the candidate should be an organized self-starter who is able to deliver on schedule and who is not shy about reaching out with questions that help them hit the mark the first time. Requirements: • Experience in writing and editing content for websites • Knowledge of web accessibility standards and tools (WCAG 2.1 AA, Section 508, etc.) • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • The ability to interface effectively with subject matter experts, managers, and other team members • Exercise good judgement when there is a need to either advocate for a position or seek compromise Preferred: • Experience with content management systems (Drupal, etc.) Apply tot his job
