We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Content Planning Manager to join our Disney+ Global Content Programming and Subscriber Engagement team. As a key member of our content planning team, you will play a crucial role in driving the strategic content approach for Disney+, working closely with various stakeholders to ensure alignment and process adherence.

About Disney+ and the Direct to Consumer Team

Disney's Direct to Consumer team oversees the Hulu and Disney+ streaming businesses within Disney Entertainment, helping to bring The Walt Disney Company's best-in-class storytelling to fans and families everywhere. Our team is responsible for leading content planning, scheduling, on-service merchandising, slate management, and programming insights that contribute to a cohesive strategic content approach for the service.

What You Will Do

As a Content Planning Manager, you will be responsible for:


Overseeing day-to-day tracking of slate updates within the content planning lifecycle, coordinating with key stakeholders, including executives.
Partnering with internal teams to monitor and communicate programming intent for the content slate.
Supporting the Sr. Manager with special ad hoc projects related to the function, such as creating frameworks and processes to scale global slate planning.
Preparing summaries, presentations, and status reports for key stakeholders and executives.


Key Responsibilities

To succeed in this role, you will need to:


Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the content planning process and its impact on the Disney+ service.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, finance teams, operations teams, studios, networks, and international programming teams.
Ensure alignment and process adherence across various teams and stakeholders.
Analyze and resolve complex problems, and approach challenges with a solution-oriented mindset.
Produce polished and clear documents for internal stakeholders.


Essential Qualifications & Skills

To be considered for this role, you will need:


A minimum of 3 years of experience in digital media and entertainment, focusing on content strategy, slate management, content curation, and/or project management.
Experience with content planning tools, with Airtable being a preferred skill.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
A diplomatic mindset with proven teamwork abilities in matrixed organizations.
The ability to effectively manage multiple demands and priorities for self and others.
Strong emotional intelligence and a collaborative spirit.
The ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.


Preferred Qualifications

We would also love to see:


Proficiency in Airtable, Excel, Google Docs, and Google Sheets.
SVOD or Linear TV experience.
A passion and insight into The Walt Disney Company segments, brands, and franchises, and expertise to build further audience engagement.


Education

A Bachelor's degree is required for this role.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary, reflecting your skills and experience, with a hiring range of $84,500 to $113,300 per year. In addition to your salary, you will be eligible for:


A bonus and/or long-term incentive units.
