Content Manager - Senior EditorHelium SEO is seeking a Managing Content Editor with strategic vision, editorial expertise, and leadership skills to oversee our content team and client deliverables. As a key member of a national, award-winning marketing agency, the ideal candidate will lead content operations while managing a team of writers, contractors, and an assistant editor to deliver exceptional SEO-optimized content for our clients.You are a good fit if you have strong editorial experience, thrive in client-facing roles, and are enthusiastic about integrating AI tools like Noble Content Lab into content creation processes. The ideal candidate would be able to drive into the Cincinnati office either three days a week or two times a month, depending on the travel time to the office.Role ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor a team of writers, contractors, and assistant editors while establishing editorial standards and processesServe as the primary point of escalation for complex client content issues and manage communication with upset clientsConduct content interviews and discovery sessions with new and existing clientsOversee the development and execution of content strategies across all accountsReview and approve high-priority or complex content deliverablesChampion the integration of Noble Content Lab and other AI tools in the content creation processDirect the agency's internal content marketing strategy and content initiativesEstablish and monitor project timelines, implement tracking systems, and ensure efficient resource allocationStay current with evolving SEO best practices and serve as the ultimate authority on content-related SEO questionsCollaborate with SEO specialists to align content with technical requirementsEvaluate content performance metrics and implement improvementsRequired Skills5+ years of professional editing experience, with at least 2 years in a management roleExperience writing for the Home Service industry is a huge plusDemonstrated expertise in SEO content strategy and implementationExceptional editing skills with meticulous attention to detailStrong leadership abilities with experience managing creative teamsExcellent client communication and relationship management skillsProven ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExperience with content management systems and SEO toolsEnthusiasm for the integration of AI in content creation processesNeeds to excel at operations and creating new systems and processesPreferred BackgroundExperience in an agency environment working with multiple clientsBackground in digital marketing, specifically content marketingKnowledge of technical SEO principles and their application to contentFamiliarity with AI content toolsExperience developing and implementing editorial guidelinesStrategic thinker with excellent problem-solving abilitiesEffective communicator who can adapt to various audiencesCollaborative leader who empowers team membersDetail-oriented while maintaining big-picture perspectiveExpectationsAs one of the nation's fastest-growing SEO agencies, Helium continues to be recognized for its excellence of service.
