Content creator for volunteer mentor organization in Oakland CA
Since 2018, Oakland Serves has been helping high school students graduate, focusing on underserved and minority communities in which students may face a variety of challenges that impede their success. We work with OUSD, with schools and teachers to identify where our mentors can have the biggest impact on student achievement. We match our volunteer mentors with whole classrooms and with individual students as needed to increase the ability of as many students as possible to progress to graduation. , We are seeking a Bay Area- based content creator to help us tell the story about our high school classroom mentors. Local volunteers help in high school classrooms to help students progress to graduation. We work with underserved students in critical classes and there is always a demand for more volunteers. Help with our blog, newsletter, social media and/or other outlets for spreading our work and raising our profile in the Bay Area.
