Consumer Lending Specialist Senior - Remote GA AL TN SC FL - Min 4 yrs loan ops experience
Job Summary
Provides administrative and operational support for the Bank's consumer lending function across the footprint. Coordinates the preparation of required loan documents; reviews all loan documentation; coordinates execution of loan documents; clears loan exceptions and sends completed loan packages to the VAULT.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Ā Coordinates with Loan Operations for the preparation of required loan documents; coordinates execution of loan documents; coordinates booking of renewal loan documents; and clears loan exceptions.
Ā Works closely with lenders to facilitate the loan process by drafting letters and agreements, clearing exceptions, and obtaining collateral documentation. Coordinates with CPA's, attorneys, and insurance agents to obtain necessary loan closing documentation and to resolve specific exceptions and transactional issues. Completes processing on more complex loans on a daily basis.
Ā Performs all lien perfection for consumer loans.
Ā Reviews documentation for declined loans, completes required documentation and provides mailing to customer about declined loan.
Ā Provides back office customer service support to internal and external customers. Performs functions using a variety of banking and lending system applications.
Ā Reviews all loan documents to ensure documentation is approved and in compliance with regulations and company policy. Maintains knowledge of current lending policies, procedures and regulations. Stays abreast of variations in laws across state boundaries. Attends and completes all necessary training.
Ā Monitors and maintains multiple reports related to consumer lending activities.
Ā Ensures all required manual and system generated transactions are processed in a timely manner throughout the entire loan workflow process. Monitors the loan process; identifies, reviews, and resolves all delays, rejects or overrides. Reviews completed loan packages and sends to Vault.
Ā As a functional user, maintains department databases and systems. Performs data entry, downloads/extracts reports for daily, monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reporting. Reformats system generated reports using Microsoft Excel or other report writing applications as needed.
Ā Applies standard department, regulatory, and loan policies and guidelines. Takes action necessary to resolve issues and refers more complex issues to management for resolution.
Ā Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.
Ā Performs other related duties as required.
