Consulting Associate, Engineer

As an entry-level engineer, you’ll play a critical role in designing and implementing solutions that help our clients meet environmental and regulatory challenges. Responsibilities Support civil and environmental engineering projects that influence energy, infrastructure, and industrial sectors Contribute to site/civil design, stormwater engineering, remediation, erosion control, and water management initiatives Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—planners, scientists, and engineers—to deliver innovative solutions locally and globally Work remotely/hybrid while maintaining clear communication on schedules, deliverables, and tasks Assist in civil/environmental design and support for projects including: Site plans Erosion and sediment control plans Stormwater management plans Permit application preparation Participate in field work, sampling, construction monitoring, and reporting Manage multiple fast-paced projects across diverse geographies Ensure compliance with ERM’s world-class Health and Safety Program Skills Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Civil, Environmental, Geotechnical, or related engineering field, or equivalent experience 0–2 years of experience Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite Ability to research and prepare technical memorandums, field reports, and report sections Detail-oriented with strong communication skills for effective collaboration Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or current registration for the F.E. exam Experience with AutoCAD/Civil3D, GIS Software, and/or Hydraflow/HydroCAD Prior internship or professional experience in civil/environmental engineering Willingness to travel for field work Benefits Paid time off Parental leave Medical Dental Vision Life Disability AD&D insurance 401(k) or RRSP/DPSP Company Overview ERM is a provider of environmental, health, safety, risk, social consulting and sustainability related services.
