About the position
Responsibilities
• Prepare Business Cases for Home Promotional offers, primarily Base Retention.
• Prepare final financial plans, forecasts, reporting, and analysis for business clients.
• Develop the Business Plan, Commitment View, and Best View, including analysis and recommendations for management reviews.
• Prepare monthly analyses of business trends and budget variances for management reviews.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of business performance and recommend action plans for cost management and revenue growth.
• Develop capital planning models, reports, and templates.
• Create cash flow statements and perform ad-hoc cash flow analysis/trending.
• Define data requirements for planning, forecasting, and reporting processes.
• Conduct strategic business analysis with overlays and commentary.
• Create performance reports with business insights and recommendations for executive management.
• Identify scenarios, risks, and opportunities around business performance.
• Create profitability/costing models and communicate updates to the Center of Excellence.
• Analyze economic drivers of the business client, such as customer churn and renewals.
• Model and assess performance scenarios to analyze risks and opportunities.
• Communicate effectively with partners.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent work experience.
• Four or more years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Nice-to-haves
• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• Experience in the technology and/or telecommunications industry.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA).
• Understanding of corporate financial planning, reporting & analysis, and costing/profitability methodologies.
• Knowledge of common business and cost drivers, financial statement analysis, and deep-dive analysis.
• Familiarity with General Ledgers, FASB requirements, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Proficiency in Essbase, Smart View, Hyperion Planning, and Hyperion Strategic Finance.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
