Consultant, Federal Income Tax Consulting
About the position The Consultant provides advice and guidance to identify tax recovery opportunities through research of tax issues, analysis of data, reconciliations, and completion of complicated calculations. This includes delivering review and audit services for clients, preparing relevant documents, reports and/or client presentations, and gaining an understanding of clients methodology and business activities. A successful Consultant should be able to demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills, strong tax research skills, and effectively communicate with team members. Responsibilities • Identify tax recovery opportunities through research of tax issues. • Analyze data and perform reconciliations. • Complete complicated calculations. • Deliver review and audit services for clients. • Prepare relevant documents, reports, and client presentations. • Gain an understanding of clients' methodology and business activities. Requirements • Four-year college degree from an accredited institution in a practice-relevant area with a minimum GPA of 2.8. • Excellent organization and time management skills. • Strong communication skills. • Willingness to learn and be a team player. • Beginner's knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research. • Valid driver's license required.
