Learn more about us at Summary: As a Project Manager, you will work in a team environment in which you lead project teams on preconstruction processes, design and virtual construction, fabrication workflows, field installation, start up and project turnover. • Project Size Range: Fully manage and run multiple project ranging from $1,000 to $2mm in size and complexity, with an annual book of work ranging from $5MM-9MM • All responsibilities of Project Manager with ability to self-generate future project workflow • Expertise in all aspects of project management for multiple markets and sectors, geographic regions and client base • Lead multiple teams to successful outcomes • Develop relationships and repeat business with customer s key decision makers • Develop a high level of proficiency and trust with senior management to be self-sufficient and produce consistently positive outcomes • Provide estimating support for your projects. Responsible for running the entire projects life cycle including planning, organizing, directing, controlling, coordinating, financial aspects, managing and mentoring. Project Manager s accountabilities: • Projects are completed at or below budget • Projects are completed at or ahead of schedule • There are no unresolved safety or quality issues on the projects • Train and develop project staff personnel • A satisfied customer • Billings are prepared and collected timely • Assure the accuracy and timeliness of all data associated with essential functions • Follow all standard company processes and policies • Satisfied shareholders The Project Manager reports to the Vice President of the Special Projects Group based out of Milwaukie, OR. Primary Responsibilities: • Ensure, follow and promote Company safety and quality protocols • For a single, large project, same a Project Manager s responsibilities: • Plan and manage the project schedule and account for variances to the plan • Plan and manage the project estimate • Manage and control project cost and account for variances to the estimate • Create accurate projections of cost at completion • Plan and manage the project control systems • Direct activities of project staff personnel • For multiple, concurrent projects: • Staff projects with capable resources • Manage and support Project Managers in the performance of their responsibilities • Assure the consistent application of project control procedures across projects • Market/Sell JH Kelly services • Mentor and manage Interns, Field Engineers, Project Engineers and other project team members • Relationships: • Maintain proactive and positive relationships within the crafts: • Including shop and field craft personnel; and supervision coworkers • Maintain proactive and positive relationships with: • Customer representatives • Vendors, Suppliers and Subcontractors • Safety, CAD/BIM, Accounting, and IT • All Project Teams • Perform additional tasks as assigned Experience / Qualifications: • Construction Management, Mechanical, Industrial, Civil engineering degree and/or equivalent experience or education • 4+ years plus full Project Management life cycle experience in applicable construction industry • Proven experience negotiating profitable work and developing customer relationships with key decision makers • Expert of Critical Path Method (CPM) Scheduling, using MS Project or comparable applications • Expert knowledge in Project Management, Construction Management, Construction Contracts, Quality Assurance/Quality Control, and Safety • Fully Proficient in Microsoft Office & Bluebeam – intermediate skills in Excel Necessary Skills: • Mentor, coach, develop and manage project staff • Ability to successful manage and support concurrent projects • Demonstrated abilities to perform Project Manager s primary responsibilities • Ability to ensure that project teams consistently practice all standard company processes and procedures • Act as the leader in charge of a project team on a single, large projects • Strong oral and written communication skills • Self-starter, motivated and takes initiative • Organized and productive • Ability to proactively build and cultivate relationships • Ability to maintain proactive, collaborative and professional relationships with Client Representatives, Suppliers, Subcontractors and internal team • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and projects at hand • Energetic and eager to prioritize workload and tackle new projects and ideas • Must have valid driver license Benefits: • Salary Range - $75,000 - $125,000 annually • Annual Discretionary Company bonus • 401K Profit Sharing • 401k - 50% company match up to first 6% of employee contribution • Medical/Vision/Rx – Dental/Ortho for employee and dependents - JH Kelly pays 87 ½% of total premiums • Paid Time Off (PTO) and Holidays • Life Insurance, AD & D, STD & LTD - paid 100% by JH Kelly Expected salary: $75000 - 125000 per year Location: Portland, OR Job date: Mon, 17 Apr 2023 07:47:37 GMT Apply for the job now!
