The Role: Construction Project Manager / Project Engineer
We're seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager / Project Engineer to join our talent pool. As a remote team leader, you'll play a critical role in driving project success, managing change orders, and delivering exceptional value to our customers. If you have a passion for construction project management, excellent communication skills, and a determined mindset, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Document Management: Read and interpret drawings, submittals, change order pricing, and construction documents to ensure seamless project execution.
Subcontractor Coordination: Make up to 50 phone calls and emails per day to subcontractors to collect documents, negotiate change order pricing, and resolve project issues.
Problem-Solving: Unblock project roadblocks by coordinating with subcontractors, GC teams, and finding necessary construction documents.
Log Management: Manage logs within construction project management software and tools, such as Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, PlanGrid, and Viewpoint.
Time Management: Work 2-3 hours a day during typical business hours, with flexibility to adapt to changing project demands.
Essential Qualifications:
Construction Experience: 7+ years of experience working in the construction industry, with 5+ years of experience working for a mid-size to large commercial General Contractor in the United States.
Construction Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of construction techniques, processes, and best practices.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with GC PM/PE, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
Technical Skills: Experience working with construction project management software and tools, such as Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, PlanGrid, and Viewpoint.
Preferred Skills:
Creative Problem-Solving: Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to complex project issues.
Task Prioritization: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage your own schedules to meet project deadlines.
Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to changing project demands, priorities, and deadlines.
