About the position

AECOM Hunt has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Project Administrative Assistant to support our ongoing construction at Chicago's ORD airport. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of administrative tasks within the project team. The Project Administrative Assistant will be responsible for preparing and proofreading correspondence, forms, spreadsheets, and documents. Additionally, the assistant will schedule meetings, make travel arrangements, and maintain an inventory of office supplies. This position requires familiarity with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures in the field, relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish more complicated goals. The assistant will utilize programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook to accomplish their work effectively. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED and at least six years of administrative experience or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Preferred qualifications include advanced education in Business or a similar curriculum, experience in the construction field as an administrative assistant, and experience supporting large complex project teams. Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills are essential, along with proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams. The ability to work independently and manage multiple schedules for leadership teams is also critical. Experience in organizing, storing, and managing large amounts of data, as well as maintaining a highly professional demeanor in an office environment, is required.
