Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician

Location: Charlotte, NC, Nashville, TN or Memphis, TN

Our client is seeking a skilled Construction Materials Testing Technician who thrives in the field and brings precision, professionalism, and passion to every site visit.

Daily Responsibilities:
• Perform field construction observations and materials testing for soil, concrete, asphalt, mortar, and grout
• Conduct construction site inspections in alignment with project requirements
• Utilize specialized testing equipment—including nuclear density gauges
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate field equipment to meet industry standards
• Review civil and structural plans to ensure accurate test applications
• Document findings and site activities in clear, well-written daily reports

Required:
• 2+ years of experience in construction inspections, testing, and fieldwork
• Active ACI Field Testing Technician – Grade I Certification (required)
• Proficiency with nuclear moisture/density gauge testing
• Strong communication skills—both written and verbal
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain high-quality standards
• Tech-savviness with digital reporting and computer tools
• High School diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license (you’ll be driving the client's company truck)
