As a Construction Manager with our SACC Military Job Fair team, you will play a pivotal role in managing construction projects from site selection through contract execution, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities Project Management: Oversee the construction of new FCs, renovations, and expansions across the US, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Contract Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with developers, General Contractors, and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with Amazon's policies and procedures. Site Selection and Planning: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to select sites for new FCs, conduct site assessments, and develop project plans. Budgeting and Cost Management: Develop and manage project budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Quality and Safety: Ensure that all construction projects meet Amazon's quality and safety standards, conducting regular site visits and audits. Communication and Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including engineering, operations, and management teams, as well as external stakeholders, such as contractors and regulatory bodies. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that could impact project timelines, budgets, or quality. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit regular project reports, including progress updates, budget variances, and lessons learned. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's Degree: A completed Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a comparable field. Experience: At least 3 years of experience in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field, with a focus on project management. Project Management Experience: 3+ years of experience managing projects from design phase through implementation and operation. Contract Negotiation Experience: 3+ years of experience negotiating construction, procurement, and labor contracts. Technical Skills: Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Building Information Modeling (BIM), as well as scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project, or similar). Preferred Qualifications Experience in Multiple Disciplines: Experience working in at least two disciplines within the construction industry, such as General Contracting, Owner's Representation, Commercial Development, or Engineering & Design. Facilities Management Experience: Experience in facilities management or a similar role, with demonstrated capability in planning, design review, and project management. Program Management Experience: Experience managing concurrent projects and programs. Project Management Accreditation: Project Management accreditation (PMP or similar).
