Construction Estimator

BBCH Support Services, LLC is looking for a Construction Estimator to join our Pre-Construction team. All candidates must be organized, self-motivated, and have demonstrated skills. This position will be responsible for oversight and execution of the estimating process for project bids; and following established standard procedures, methods, processes, and software requirements for estimating. This is a REMOTE position. Responsibilities: Develop pricing model per RFP requirements. Develop general and special conditions costs. Identify risk issues, their order of magnitude, and propose solutions to minimize them. Review constructability issues with key operational staff. Assist with review of subcontractor proposals to ensure scope coverage; and identify scope gaps. Maintain and communicate data on construction and material cost trends. Ensure pricing model data accuracy. Work collaboratively with other preconstruction team members. Ensure effective transfer of awarded projects to field operation staff. Effectively communicate the price proposal development process to senior management. Create/manage multiple estimates simultaneously. Professionally communicate in highly stressed environments. Qualifications: Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. 7-10 years (or more) of estimating experience in various market sectors, including federal government, commercial, and medical. Demonstrated experience working independently on projects from $2M to $30M. Experience with design-build and design-bid-build RFPs. Ability to develop competitive price proposals on multiple projects simultaneously (4 to 6 proposals at varying stages of development). Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal. Proficiency with computer software including MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.). ProEst or similar experience desirable. US Citizen or applicable for work in the US. Ability to climb up and down stairs/ladders. Unrestricted driver’s license. Ability to pass background checks for security and base access. Ability to pass drug tests.
