Configuration Management Specialist - Hardware Engineering

They are seeking a Configuration Management Analyst to assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of configuration management processes and procedures. This role involves managing product configurations, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing technical support on configuration management matters.ResponsibilitiesAssist in the management and control of product configurations, including hardware and documentation, to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistencySupport the development and maintenance of configuration management plans, procedures, and documentation to support program requirementsCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure that configuration management considerations are integrated into program decisions and activitiesAssist in the conduct of configuration audits and assessments to identify and mitigate risks, and implement corrective actions as neededProvide technical support to program teams on configuration management matters, including engineering change proposals, configuration control, and product data managementParticipate in program meetings and reviews, including design reviews, test reviews, and production readiness reviews, to ensure that configuration management considerations are properly addressedSkills1+ years of experience in configuration management or related fieldBasic knowledge of configuration management principles and practicesFamiliarity with PTC Windchill software or other similar Enterprise Product Data Management (PDM) systemsFamiliarity in Hardware Engineering drawings, Bill of Materials (BOMs) / Parts Lists (PLs) as well as standard drafting practicesKnowledge in Engineering Change Notices to ensure Configuration Control and program requirements are metFamiliarity with Engineering Change Proposals (ECP), Request for Variances (RFV), and Configuration Status Accounting (CSA)Familiarity with the development, preparation and maintenance of Technical Data Packages (TDP)Ability to obtain & maintain a U.S. DoD Security clearance at the SECRET levelStrong analytical and technical skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutionsExcellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skillsFamiliarity of Configuration Management principles and Operating Industry standards: ISO 9001, AS9100, and Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), EIA-649 / MIL-HDBK-61Ability to write Basis of Estimate (BOE)Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlinesBenefitsMedicalDentalVisionLife InsuranceShort-Term DisabilityLong-Term Disability401(k) matchFlexible Spending AccountsEAPEducation AssistanceParental LeavePaid time offHolidaysCompany OverviewLockheed Martin is a global security and aerospace company that specializes in advanced technology systems, products, and services.
