Role Description

This is a contractor role for a remote Computer Vision [ML] Engineer. The Computer Vision Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing computer vision algorithms and systems. Day-to-day tasks may include designing and training machine learning models, analyzing data for pattern recognition and optimization in the ecosystem of our product, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop robotics applications, and ensuring system performance and scalability. The candidate will also be responsible for integrating computer vision systems into real-world applications to solve complex problems. This role is focused on document processing and applying effective computer vision methodologies to alleviate client's operational overhead.

Qualifications
• Expertise in Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition techniques
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in computer vision and ML for an entry to mid level position and minimum of 10-15+ years of experience for a senior level position. Currently focused on senior positions within our organization
• Strong understanding of core concepts in Computer Science and Data Science
• Experience in Robotics and Robotics Process Automation
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or similar, and experience with relevant libraries like OpenCV, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
• Strong AWS experience: IaC with Terraform, using modern computer vision and ML techniques within AWS, DevOps and deployment experience
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Program specialties in computer vision treated as a major plus
• Must have applied computer vision or ML techniques in real production projects at companies
• Agentic AI and MAS understanding is a plus
• Understanding of basic cognitive architecture methodologies is a major plus
• Understanding of computational neuroscience techniques with computer vision is a major plus
• Must be able to understand and digest proprietary AI, quant, and computer vision research and use it effectively to create solutions described
• Healthcare and insurance industry experience highly preferred
• Must have had prior experience with document processing
