Position: Systems Engineer
Type: Contract
Compensation: $70ā$100/hour
Location: Remote
Role Responsibilities
ā¢ Develop back-end services and workflows for fleet management and full server lifecycle, including network boot, firmware updates, and OS provisioning.
ā¢ Create out-of-band server management tools in a multi-vendor environment, focusing on state management and telemetry collection.
ā¢ Write and review code, test changes on hardware, and automate testing processes.
ā¢ Troubleshoot end-to-end issues in provisioning, firmware updates, and network boot processes.
Qualifications
Must-Have
ā¢ 3+ years of experience in TCP/IP network fundamentals.
ā¢ Proficiency in Linux systems and server systems management.
ā¢ Experience in troubleshooting server network boot processes from both network and server perspectives.
ā¢ Skills in coding and scripting automation using Python, Go, Rust, Bash, or Ruby.
ā¢ Experience with automating management of large fleets of server hardware using Redfish or IPMI.
ā¢ Proven troubleshooting analytics of server/systems architecture and components.
ā¢ Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and/or cloud deployment technologies.
ā¢ Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a relevant field.
Preferred
ā¢ Linux/TCP/IP certification.
