Role Responsibilities
ā¢ Solve complex bioinformatics problems in transcriptomics, genomics, and virology.
ā¢ Analyze large biological datasets and submit analytical workflows as Jupyter notebooks.
ā¢ Work independently under a blind protocol with no prior context.
ā¢ Inform the evaluation of frontier AI models on scientific reasoning.
ā¢ Utilize Python and/or R for bioinformatics pipelines.
ā¢ Produce well-documented, reproducible Jupyter notebooks.
Qualifications
Must-Have
ā¢ PhD or Master's degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, genomics, or related field.
ā¢ Experience with at least 2 of: RNA-seq analysis, variant calling, metagenomic classification, epigenomic profiling, single-cell analysis, or population genetics.
ā¢ Proficiency in Python and/or R.
ā¢ Familiarity with command-line tools (e.g., samtools).
ā¢ Strong independent problem-solving ability.
Start Date
ā¢ March; tasks assigned on a rolling basis.
