About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Computational Biologist/Bioinformatics Scientist to join our cross-functional research teams focused on advancing therapeutic discovery in ophthalmology. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge target identification and biomarker development programs aimed at treating ocular diseases through innovative computational approaches.
Core Responsibilities
Analyze public and proprietary bulk RNA-seq, single-cell RNA-seq, and spatial transcriptomics datasets to support therapeutic hypothesis generation and target discovery initiatives.
Evaluate large-scale expression and proteomic datasets to identify novel targets, biomarkers, and support drug development programs in ophthalmology.
Provide computational assessment and implementation strategies for omics technologies in clinical trial settings.
Investigate mechanisms of therapeutic intervention and drug efficacy in patients with various ocular conditions.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to translate computational findings into actionable research insights.
Qualifications
PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or related quantitative field.
3-5 years of post-doctoral or industry experience preferred.
Advanced proficiency in R and Python programming languages.
Demonstrated experience with single-cell RNA sequencing analysis and proteomic data interpretation.
Hands-on experience with spatial transcriptomics data analysis and visualization.
Strong understanding of cell biology fundamentals and familiarity with ophthalmology concepts.
Experience working with large-scale genomic and proteomic datasets.
Proven ability to work effectively in collaborative, cross-functional team environments.
