Apply now and learn why there’s #MoreAtFreddieMac!Our Impact:Compliance Operations Risk serves as the centralized function for regulatory compliance that impact Single Family front-end business. We are responsible for establishing and maintaining a first line of defense Compliance Program that promotes risk management of laws and regulations that apply to operations as well as third-party relationship management.Your Impact:You will bring your technical and analytical expertise along with a strong understanding of regulatory compliance in consumer protection and risk management to drive success of the first line of defense’s compliance risk management activities. The position will be tasked in developing a faster and more efficient way to assess compliance risk. Accountabilities require you:Proficiency in Excel, process improvement, and process mapping. Experience with Power BI preferredDevelop risk metrics and measurements that strengthen our risk analysis and reportingDemonstrate knowledge on consumer protection laws with solid understanding of consumer protectionSupport leadership in developing a high performance and results oriented teamDevelop / update compliance centric policies and procedures that align with Enterprise Risk Managements framework, regulatory requirementsCollaborate with first line of defense process, risk and control ownersSupervise implementation of required laws and regulations, and conduct risk evaluations/assessments to evidence operational readiness to comply with regulatory requirementsManage and coordinate responses to inquiries from internal and external constituents who advise SF of potential regulatory riskQualifications:College degree and/or certifications related to Compliance and Risk Management and/or equivalent work experience8-10+ years in mortgage lending and risk management experienceDemonstrated subject expertise in developing and presenting compliance related materials, reporting and metricsExperience in regulatory compliance, with working subject matter proficiency and expertise in federal and state regulations related to mortgage lending consumer protection preferredDemonstrated experience being adept in working across various lines of businessDemonstrated ability to effectively articulate complex regulations and statues to applicable lines of businessKeys to Success in this Role:Adaptable to change, self-motivated, proactive, and results drivenStrategic thinker, balancing risk with business needAnalytical and problem-solvingStrong presentation and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, as well as identify and escalate issues appropriately to managementTechnical skills required: Proficiency in Excel, Visio and preferred experience with Power BI and Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) toolsCurrent Freddie Mac employees please apply through the internal career site.We consider all applicants for all positions without regard to gender, race, color, religion, national origin, age, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, physical and mental disability, pregnancy, ethnicity, genetic information or any other protected categories under applicable federal, state or local laws. Information on these benefit programs is available on our Careers site.This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $112,000 - $168,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
