Compliance Coordinator
Canyon View Credit Union is seeking a Compliance Coordinator to maintain awareness of federal and state laws affecting compliance requirements. The role involves reviewing regulations, advising management, and ensuring adherence to compliance standards.ResponsibilitiesPerform an ongoing review, research and analysis of all current and new regulations and their application to the Credit UnionInterpret and analyze new and developing changes in regulations, rules and laws and advise Management of the operational impact of such changes by providing thorough written summaries and recommendations for implementationAssist with implementation as neededEvaluate the Credit Union’s policies, procedures, products, and programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulationsMake recommendations for change where appropriateAssist with implementation as neededDisseminate information to appropriate staff, answer questions, and be a subject matter expert for the Credit Union on compliance-related issuesCoordinate and facilitate Compliance Committee meetings, as neededAssess risk potential of current procedures and recommend new procedures that minimize loss exposureCoordinate with the Training Department and/or Management to ensure any compliance-related changes to policy or procedure are communicated with clarity to the impacted departments or individualsPerform or assist with compliance audits and communicate recommendations to ManagementFollow-up to ensure recommendations are responded to appropriatelyAssist with the review and updating of the policies and guidelines in the Credit Union’s Policy ManualsUnderstands the Bank Secrecy Act and how it is appliedAssist with the duties of others in the department as neededPerform other tasks which may be assigned by managementProvide a positive example to all areas in the Credit Union through his/her interactions with othersSkillsOne year to three years of similar or related experienceMust have High School diploma or equivalent G.E.DKnowledge of branch operations, internal control techniques, Credit Union policies and procedures, federal and state regulationsPossess sound decision-making ability and understanding of riskProficient with standard office business machinery and software.
