The Compliance Associate is responsible for overseeing compliance processes, ensuring that all government regulations are met for clients in the wine industry, and maintaining accurate operational documents and procedures.ResponsibilitiesHandles federal and California tax reports, and out of state compliance, including TTB Monthly Report of Operations, TTB Excise Tax Reports, CA Sales & Use Tax Reports, CA Winegrower Monthly Reports, CA Sales and Use Tax Returns and out of state brand & label registrationsOut of state Monthly Shipment ReportingNavigate compliance regulations and communicate with various federal and state government agencies on behalf of clientsMaintain clear and accurate operations documents/proceduresEnsure client deliverables are within allotted budget and timelinesAssist Senior Compliance Associate and other duties as assignedSkillsAssociates' degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field1+ years winery experience/general knowledge of the alcoholic beverage industry, particularly compliance issuesAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSuperior organizational skills, detail oriented, must be able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesOutstanding client relationship skills and commitment to excellenceBenefits401(k)Medical benefitsFirm sponsored continuing educationCompany OverviewPlatform Accounting Group specializes in accounting, mergers, acquisitions, tax advisory, and business consulting services.
