Compensation Operations Analyst
Position SummaryGuggenheim Investments is hiring a Compensation Operations Analyst to join our Finance Operations team. Reporting to the Compensation Finance Lead, the Compensation Operations Analyst is primarily responsible for managing compensation accounting and reporting, including preparing headcount roll-forwards, recording payroll and benefit-related journal entries across multiple entities and currencies, and completing account reconciliations while supporting financial planning with compensation analysis. The role will also assist with deferred compensation program administration by maintaining participant records, responding to employee inquiries, and managing annual processes such as enrollment and distributions. The role serves as a key project resource for system and process initiatives.The position being offered is remote, however some travel between office locations in Chicago and New York may be required.ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:Prepare the Headcount Roll-forward and other reporting deliverablesIdentify and record journal entries including payroll accounting, compensation and benefit accruals, and deferred compensation plan awards across various legal entities and currenciesComplete reconciliations for compensation and benefit related accountsAssist with compensation narrative and analysis in support of the plan, forecast or ad-hoc requestsCompile necessary documentation for regulatory or audit deliverablesAssist in administering compensation programs, including deferred compensation plansMaintain plan records, participant data, and documentation to ensure accuracy and complianceRespond to employee inquiries regarding compensation programs and basic plan provisions, escalating complex issues as neededAssist with annual plan processes such as enrollment, allocations and plan notices and continually monitor important plan deadlines for events including but not limited to elections, vesting, and distributionsFacilitate Expense Sharing Agreement processes through employee time allocation surveys and preparation of expense support schedulesPrimary project resource for the Compensation Team system and/or process initiativesPartner with team members to coordinate requirements, testing, and process documentationInitiatives may include but are not limited to the following:Annual compensation change updatesOperationalizing new compensation or benefit programsImplement alternative or additional payroll providersTransition to a Total Rewards ToolsetSystems and Business WorkflowsIdentify business processes / workflow enhancements to constantly improve the Workday experienceProvides intimate knowledge on business processes, data mapping, and system configurations of modulesDesign and develop Workday reports to be utilized by Management or Business LeadsQualificationsBasic QualificationsBachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related3-5 years prior compensation experienceInvestment management or related financial services experience strongly preferredPreferred QualificationsPrior experience with Workday and Compensation modulesIntermediate level Microsoft Excel proficiencySalary RangeAnnual base salary between$85,000.00-$95,000.00The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience. The range listed reflects base salary only, and the total compensation package may include other components such as incentive compensation.
