Compassionate Monuments and Funeral Services Assistant
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic individual to join our team as a Monuments and Funeral Services Assistant. This vital role provides essential support during sensitive events, including bereavement services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle various tasks that contribute to the smooth operation of our services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting with monument setup and maintenance in cemeteries, state and federal buildings, as well as providing support for funeral services, including setup and grave preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with heavy lifting and moving of equipment, supplies, and materials as needed, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment
Support event planning by coordinating logistics and ensuring all details are executed flawlessly, providing exceptional customer service to families and loved ones during difficult times
Collaborate with the team to prepare for funeral services, including setup, grave preparation, and other tasks as required
Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our services, policies, and procedures to provide accurate information and support to clients and colleagues
Requirements and Qualifications:
Experience or willingness to learn about heavy lifting techniques and safety protocols, with a focus on maintaining a safe working environment
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment, providing emotional support and empathy to clients and colleagues
Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle to travel to and from work, with the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as required
What We Offer:
Competitive hourly rate: $14.00 - $15.50 per hour
Full-time position with a minimum of 38-50 hours per week
