Those Core Values are teamwork and achievement for all community members; inclusive, respectful communication and collaboration; and mutual respect and integrity.These are the essential requirements to serve in the Supervising Teacher role:Bachelor's degree and valid California Teaching Credential (as applicable to the position requirements) with English Language Learner Authorization. Multiple Subject and/or Single Subject 1 + years of verified and successful teaching experience in a public school setting.Experience working with blended, online, personalized, and/or virtual learning schools preferred.Experience and strong theoretical and practical knowledge base of educational best practices, recent research in education, and CA standards curriculum and objectives.Proficient in digital engagement: computer & software skills. (ie Google Suite and Microsoft), social media literacy (ie Twitter, Google Classroom, website navigation), information & communication (email, intranets), web & mobile applications, interpersonal & social networking skills, and student/school systems (ie student information system, digital courseware, online learning platforms).Example duties for the Supervising Teacher may include:Collaborate with learning coaches, other CCS support staff and scholars to prepare the learning environment and learning objectives in accordance with scholars’ learning styles and school’s philosophy, and assess regularly for academic growth and planning.Provide live, synchronous whole group, small group, and/or one on one data-driven instructional sessions that use research-based strategies to target scholar learning needs.Participate in Local and State assessment requirements and procedures, including any required screening tools.Collect and maintain all necessary documents of scholars on their roster to meet compliance requirements. Use the SIS to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of attendance, coursework, work samples, scholar logs, progress grades, and to submit scholar report cards and school-wide assessment records on time.Manage use of educational support funds for instructional material and services using professional judgment and accuracy following specified procedures.Conduct screenings, goal monitoring, and data collection to personalize and provide instructional support (in collaboration) with Education Specialists and other support staff to ensure all scholars (General, ELL, SPED, 504, etc) are successful academically, behaviorally, socially, and emotionally.Implement all IEP and 504 accommodations; utilize appropriate EL strategies (ex: SDAIE); and implement tiered interventions of the CCS MTSS framework.Prepare for and lead SST meetings regarding their scholars.Apply information from data and utilize CCS resources to support scholar achievement.Although the Supervising Teacher has unique requirements and duties, we believe that all employees play a critical role in the success of each and every scholar. As the safety, adequacy, and functionality of the approved home office is key, approval must be provided to work from any other location with the exception of the Central Office. May be required to also work from the Central Office, Learning Center, or other Compass location as directed by supervisor or the Superintendent & CEO. Must be able to work a flexible schedule as needed to meet the needs of scholars, Learning Coaches (parents), and staff. Must be able to travel throughout the State of California for school-related activities.
