Companion Care Needed For My Mother In Newtown
About the Job
About who needs care: My mom is living with me under my full care, I help her with laundry, preparing most meals, dosing medications and almost all daily needs. She does not drive and is not from the area. She needs to find interests and companionship with someone who can help out with transportation or errands. She is very friendly but has difficulty with short term memory and social anxiety. Ideally her day would include light exercise, some social activities or outings to get her out and about.
About the care needs: I am looking for a trustworthy, dependable, friendly and social person. Someone who is willing and able to take my mom to appointments or outings as well as offer companionship as she finds new social circles to participate in. She is elderly and takes several medications, she has some underlying anxiety and memory loss and needs direct supervision in unfamiliar settings. Hobbies could include reading, watching movies, going to parks, shows, walking, simple card games, etc. My mom also needs reminders for taking medications, putting on hearing aids, drinking water, etc.
Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
