Commercial Physical Damage Adjuster

As a physical damage adjuster on our Commercial Lines team, youll investigate, analyze, and determine the extent of Progressive's liability concerning loss of damages specific to commercial products. Youll accurately estimate the most complex and costly commercial losses. Commercial losses handled by Truck specialists most often involve vehicles such as heavy trucks and equipment; but may include other large vehicles (i.e., fire trucks, busses, wreckers etc.).
This is a field position. In this role, youll cover a large geographic territory which may include multiple states. Youll be driving to vehicle inspection sites.
Must-have Qualifications
A minimum of six years relevant work experience with three years appraisal/estimatics or claims handling
OR Associates degree and a minimum of five years relevant work experience with three years appraisal/estimatics or claims handling
OR Bachelors degree or higher and a minimum of three years appraisal/estimatics or claims handling
Preferred Skills
Proficient in use of physical damage estimating systems
Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Self-motivated, ability to work independently
Mechanical aptitude including knowledge and hands-on experience related to commercial vehicle repairs
Compensation
$93,000/year
Gainshare annual incentive payment is up to 24% of eligible earnings; Progressive rewards each of us with an annual incentive payment based on company performance
