Commercial General Liability & Auto Claims Adjuster Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana (Remote position) Job Type: Full-Time Department: Claims Reports To: Claims Manager Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mid-Level Claims Adjuster with experience handling commercial general liability and auto claims. This position is responsible for managing a caseload of moderate complexity commercial general liability and automobile claims, conducting thorough investigations, evaluating coverage, and resolving claims efficiently and fairly in accordance with carrier guidelines and legal requirements. Key Responsibilities: · Investigate, evaluate, and resolve commercial general liability and auto claims from first notice through closure. · Analyze insurance policies to determine coverage and liability exposures. · Obtain statements from parties involved, gather supporting documentation, and communicate with insureds, claimants, attorneys, brokers, agents, insurance carrier, and other relevant parties. · Maintain accurate claim documentation and adhere to diary and reporting requirements. · Evaluate bodily injury, property damage, and liability exposures to determine appropriate reserves and settlements. · Make timely and appropriate decisions regarding coverage, liability, and damages. · Negotiate settlements within authority limits and in accordance with company policies and industry best practices. · Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and internal quality standards. · Conduct timely and thorough investigations of first-party and third-party auto claims, including obtaining police reports, medical records, repair estimates, photos, and recorded statements. · Provide exceptional customer service throughout the claims process. · Pursue subrogation when pertinent. Qualifications: · 3–5 years of experience handling commercial general liability and/or commercial auto claims. · Solid understanding of insurance coverage, legal liability, and claim resolution strategies. · Familiarity with state and federal regulations impacting claim handling. · Excellent investigative and analytical skills. · Strong written and verbal communication skills. · Ability to manage multiple claims and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment. · Proficiency in claims management systems and Microsoft Office Suite. · Adjuster license(s) as required by state law (multi-state preferred or willingness to obtain). Preferred Experience: · Experience with third-party administration (TPA) or specialty lines is a plus. · Background in sports, entertainment, or specialized commercial risks is desirable. · Prior litigation or subrogation experience beneficial.
