Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Commercial Bankruptcy Paralegal to join our law firm client on a part-time, remote contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in federal commercial bankruptcy law and experience working with complex bankruptcy cases. As a Commercial Bankruptcy Paralegal, you will play a critical role in supporting our law firm client with commercial bankruptcy cases, including preparing documents, conducting research, and assisting attorneys with case-related tasks. Key Responsibilities: Provide support to attorneys with commercial bankruptcy cases, including preparing and editing documents, conducting research, and assisting with case-related tasks Review and analyze financial documents, including balance sheets, income statements, and other financial records Prepare and file documents with the bankruptcy court, including petitions, schedules, and other bankruptcy-related documents Conduct research on bankruptcy laws and regulations, including the Bankruptcy Code and relevant case law Assist attorneys with preparing for court hearings and meetings with clients Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of case-related activities and documents Communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders via phone, email, and video conferencing Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: 2+ years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on commercial bankruptcy law Strong knowledge of federal commercial bankruptcy law, including the Bankruptcy Code and relevant case law Experience working with complex bankruptcy cases, including Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 cases Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with Delaware commercial bankruptcy cases Familiarity with bankruptcy software, including CM/ECF and PACER Experience working in a remote or virtual environment Certification as a Certified Bankruptcy Paralegal (CBP) or Certified Paralegal (CP) Skills and Competencies Required for Success To excel in this role, you will need to possess a range of skills and competencies, including: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team Strong research and analytical skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other productivity software Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At JURISolutions Legal, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our team members.
