What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Ensure accurate and complete follow-up on patient accounts
- Resolve claim processing issues in a timely manner
- Review and update patient accounts with current information
- Document all activities in patient account notes
- Work on assigned correspondence related to patient accounts
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong telephone communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools and hospital patient accounting systems
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 1 year of medical collections experience
- Minimum 1 year experience in a hospital business office department
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with ArtivaIn or HMS software
- Knowledge of UB 04 and 1500 claims form preparation
- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines effectively
