The individual will evaluate residential property appraisals to ensure compliance with federal and company guidelines, assess valuation risks, and determine property acceptability. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing appraisal documentation, ensuring accuracy in property valuation, and effectively communicating findings to stakeholders. The Collateral Underwriter will also provide guidance to appraisers, loan officers, and other team members to maintain strong industry standards and operational excellence. Qualifications • Experience with collateral underwriting processes, property valuation assessment, and appraisal reviews • Strong analytical abilities and proficiency in data-driven decision-making • Knowledge of regulatory guidelines, residential mortgage appraisal standards, and compliance requirements • Proficiency with underwriting and valuation tools, software, and related systems • Excellent communication, team collaboration, and problem-solving skills • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with minimal supervision • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience in underwriting or real estate appraisal • DE/SAR
