Job Description:
Stand-Up Forklift Operator position is responsible for ensuring all materials are transported and/or unloaded in a timely manner while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Tasks:
Ā Applicants will be considered for openings in any department that may include but are not limited to Warehouse or Shipping and Receiving.
Ā Must accept work in a cold and damp environment with temperatures ranging from -10 to 34 degrees. Jobs are fast paced and require repetitive motion.
Ā Some positions require lifting, pushing and pulling up to 40+ lbs.
Ā Material Handling and Receiving positions require lifting 70+ lbs.
Ā Constant standing, walking, and riding of powered material handling equipment (forklifts, stand up lifts).
Ā Must be able and willing to stand throughout 10-12-hour shifts.
Ā Specialized training for powered industrial trucks required to be qualified within Tyson Foods, Inc.
Shift Schedule:
Ā *Shift availability is determined by the business need at the time of offer**
Weeknights - Monday to Thursday
Ā B shift; (7 pm - 5 am)
Weekends - Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Ā C shift (6 am - 6 pm)
Ā D shift (6 pm - 6 am)
Starting pay rate:
Ā *Candidates may be eligible for Attendance incentive and/or shift premium, depending on shift placement. **
Ā $22.15/hr
Requirements:
Ā Must have 1 year of stand-up forklift experience in the last 3 years listed in work history.
Ā Cold Warehouse experience preferred.
Ā Must be able to meet minimum productivity percentage.
Ā Must be able to continuously case pick up to 40 lbs.
Ā Must be willing to train for and pass forklift license training, as well as read and understand to operate RF equipment.
Ā Must be willing to work overtime and weekends.
Ā Must be willing to accept and carry through on request and directions given.
Ā Must be willing to learn other duties.
Ā This location is not considering prior Tyson Team members at this time.
