Med-Scribe is currently recruiting for a certified medical coder for a temp to hire opportunity with a company based out of the Pittsford, NY area.
In this role, you will perform tasks to assist in processing case files for non-medical necessity case reviews involving billing, coding, compliance, or other technical issues. Attention to detail is key!
Job duties will include, but not be limited to:
• Abstracting and coding clinical data
• Auditing medical records to ensure compliance
• Accurately entering coded data in a system and validating data entered.
• Researching correct coding practices, clearly documenting, and sharing findings with others.
• Reviewing denials and recommending billing corrections.
• any other related duties as assigned.
Days/Hours: Full Time, Monday – Friday between 8 AM – 5 PM
Training Hours: Monday – Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM for approximately the first 2-3 weeks.
Salary: $21.42/hour.

Minimum Qualifications:
• ∙ High School diploma/equivalent required
• ∙ 2 years of medical coding experience required
• ∙ CPC or CCS certification required
