The Opportunity:
CACI's Enterprise IT (EIT) Sector is seeking a skilled Cloud Virtualization Engineer to oversee and drive the development and implementation of cloud and virtualization infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud platforms, virtualization technologies, and network engineering, with a proven track record of leading technical teams. This role requires both strategic leadership and hands-on technical expertise to ensure the delivery of robust, scalable, and secure cloud solutions aligned to site survey, design and implementation activities. You'll contribute to delivering high-performance, secure and modern network solutions that enhance mission readiness across Army CONUS locations.

Responsibilities:
ā¢ Design and architect cloud and virtualization solutions to meet requirements and technical specifications.
ā¢ Develop comprehensive architecture documentation, including diagrams, workflows, and technical specifications.
ā¢ Deploy and configure virtual machines, storage, and network components in a cloud environment.
ā¢ Manage cloud resources, including compute, storage, and networking, to ensure optimal performance and availability.
ā¢ Implement automation scripts and tools to streamline cloud operations and reduce manual intervention.
ā¢ Collaborate with network engineers to integrate virtualization solutions with existing network infrastructure.
ā¢ Ensure seamless communication between virtual and physical network components.
ā¢ Implement security best practices for virtualization and cloud environments.
ā¢ Analyze virtualization and cloud environments for performance issues and bottlenecks.
ā¢ Optimize resource utilization and implement scaling strategies to meet changing demands.
ā¢ Maintain accurate documentation of virtualization configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
ā¢ Prepare reports on system performance, issues, and recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications:
Required:
ā¢ US citizen with ability to obtain Secret security clearance
ā¢ Degree: Technical BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
ā¢ Experience: 5 years in virtualization technologies and cloud computing.
ā¢ Commensurate: High School diploma or associate degree plus a minimum of 10 years of experience
ā¢ Proven experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or similar virtualization platforms.
ā¢ Experience in architecting and implementing large-scale cloud and virtualization solutions
ā¢ Hands-on experience with cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is highly desirable.
ā¢ Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or equivalent are preferred.
ā¢ Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching.
ā¢ Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation.
ā¢ Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
ā¢ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
ā¢ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
ā¢ Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio); experience working with DoD or US Army programs
Desired:
ā¢ Active Secret security clearance
ā¢ Experience in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
ā¢ Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
ā¢ Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

Pay Range:
There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
