Cloud Operations Engineer II

Job Description: • Analyze, design, and implement the creation of a new AWS environment based upon an existing AWS cloud infrastructure using CloudFormation or CDK, ensuring compliance with operational standards. • Maintain and optimize existing cloud environments, ensuring availability, performance, and security. • Work closely with support, development, security, and compliance teams to ensure that infrastructure meets both operational and regulatory requirements. • Implement monitoring solutions and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and performance, troubleshooting issues as they arise. • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments, monitoring, and scaling of cloud resources. • Write and maintain scripts and applications in Python and Node.js to automate processes and enhance cloud operations. Requirements: • 3+ years of experience in cloud operations, specifically with AWS • Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, specifically AWS CloudFormation and/or CDK • Strong understanding of AWS services, security best practices, and compliance frameworks • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline) • Proficiency in Python and Node.js for scripting and application development • Knowledge of Linux/Unix administration and additional scripting languages is a plus • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
