Cloud Network Engineer- REMOTE

About the position Responsibilities • Support and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure, including networking and security configurations. • Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls, including port routing and traffic management. • Develop and maintain Terraform scripts for provisioning and managing cloud services. • Collaborate with vulnerability management teams to support STIG compliance, IAVM remediation, and access control configurations. • Provide scripting support for automation and infrastructure tasks. • Manage load balancing, traffic routing, and hardware configurations (Palo Alto, some Cisco). • Respond to and resolve support tickets, ensuring SLA compliance and effective troubleshooting. • Work closely with a small, agile team to deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions. Requirements • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience (or Master's with 2+ years). • Strong hands-on experience with Azure cloud services. • Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management. • Experience with Palo Alto firewalls, including port-level security and routing. • Solid understanding of cloud security principles, DoD STIGs, and IAVM processes. • Familiarity with EKS clusters and containerized environments. • Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell). • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting. • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Treasury Public Trust security clearance (8-12 week process). Nice-to-haves • Experience in data center or infrastructure operations. • Prior exposure to supporting Azure teams in a cloud-first environment. • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, and Terraform-based deployments. • Experience managing security configurations, access controls, and vulnerability remediation workflows.
