With the goal of supporting both teachers and diverse learners, Our client helps educators differentiate instruction by providing each student (MLL, students with IEPs, advanced students, struggling readers) with targeted, Socratic, one-on-one and small group support (in 50+ languages) in the context of either core class instruction or intervention support.Job SummaryAs a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our AWS cloud infrastructure and application stack that powers Mojo. You'll work directly with our product, development, and operations teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems. This role requires deep AWS expertise and strong full-stack development skills to support our Python Flask application, AWS services integration, and containerized infrastructure. The ideal candidate is technically sophisticated with hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure management, capable of optimizing system performance and recommending architectural improvements.ResponsibilitiesAWS Infrastructure Management & DevOpsManage and optimize our AWS cloud infrastructure (ECS Fargate, Lambda, DynamoDB,S3, CloudFront, Aurora RDS, etc.)Monitor and troubleshoot container deployments, ensuring high availability and performanceImplement and improve CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deploymentMaintain security best practices and compliance across our infrastructureOptimize costs while maintaining performance and reliabilityBackend Development & System IntegrationSupport and extend our Python Flask application architectureIntegrate and configure services including uWSGI, Nginx, and RedisManage DynamoDB and Aurora RDS tables and data workflowsDevelop and maintain Lambda functions for various processing tasksWork with Docker containers and containerization strategiesTechnical Maintenance & SupportDiagnose and resolve technical issues across our development and production environmentsPerform system upgrades and patches with minimal service disruptionDocument technical processes, architecture decisions, and system configurationsParticipate in on-call rotation for critical system support (as needed)Continuous ImprovementRecommend and implement architecture improvements based on evolving requirementsResearch and evaluate new technologies and services that could benefit our infrastructureCollaborate with the team to establish best practices for code quality and infrastructure managementQualifications and Job Requirements3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, particularly ECS Fargate, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, CloudFront, and VPC configurationStrong proficiency in Python web frameworkExtensive experience with Docker, containerization, and container orchestrationWorking knowledge of uWSGI, Nginx, and web server configurationFamiliarity with Linux system administration and shell scriptingExperience with infrastructure as code tools (CloudFormation preferred)Understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and performance optimizationAbility to manage multiple technical priorities and communicate clearly about complex systemsSelf-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solvingComfort working in a full-time capacity while delivering high-impact resultsNice to havePreferred (Not Required)Experience with frontend JavaScript/TypeScript developmentExperience with backend Flask developmentPrior experience in education or ed-tech sectorFamiliarity with Agile development practicesExperience with monitoring tools like Datadog or similarBackground in system architecture designWhat We Offer100% Remote Work: Enjoy the freedom to work from the location that helps you thrive.
