About the role

Unlock Technologies is hiring a fully remote Closing and Post-Closing Specialist. The Closing and Post-Closing Specialist is responsible for supporting the loan funding lifecycle from

the preparation of accurate closing documents through the execution and shipment of completed packages. This role ensures all documentation is complete, compliant, and correctly recorded. It

involves coordinating with title companies and customers, authorizing the disbursement of funds, performing quality control checks, and managing the transition of files to custodians and asset

management systems. The position requires precision, problem-solving, and adherence to regulatoryand company standards, while also collaborating with internal stakeholders and mentoring junior staff as needed.

What you'll do
• Generate accurate closing document packages in accordance with regulatory requirements and

company policies, ensuring all disclosed fees and terms are correct.
• Schedule and confirm signing appointments with title companies and customers, ensuring timely

execution and clear communication.
• Review files before and after closing to ensure all required documents are complete, accurate, and

compliant; follow up on any deficiencies or missing items.
• Approve the release of funds only after verifying the accuracy and completeness of executed documents

and satisfaction of all conditions.
• Verify applicable insurance coverage (e.g., hazard and flood) and ensure all activities meet federal, state,

and internal compliance standards.
• Monitor the receipt of recorded documents, following up with title companies as needed to ensure

timely delivery within required timeframes.
• Compile and transmit finalized loan files to investors or custodians in a timely and compliant manner,

maintaining accurate digital records.
• Enter and validate loan and customer information in the asset management system, ensuring accurate

data transfer and eliminating exceptions.
• Act as a liaison with internal departments and external partners to resolve documentation

discrepancies, clarify requirements, and support smooth closings.
• Collaborate with peers and provide guidance to junior staff when appropriate, contributing to team

efficiency, compliance, and service quality.

What we're looking for
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of industry experience, mortgage loan operations, specifically in closing, funding, post-

closing, or escrow preferred
• Knowledge of mortgage loan documents and ability to interpret underwriting conditions, closing

instructions, and title/trust documentation
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing financial and legal documents
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and resolve documentation or data

discrepancies
• PC skills including working knowledge of the Microsoft environment and the ability to access,

manipulate, organize and relay information in a meaningful way.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to effectively partner with leaders across

multiple functions
• Ability to work in a high-growth, dynamic environment

What we offer
• Annual salary $70,000-$75,000
