The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) at Mott Hospital will provide expert clinical leadership within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Responsibilities
Serve as a reliable source of information on evidence supporting safe nursing practices.

Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to integrate nursing perspectives into comprehensive care plans.

Conduct comprehensive wellness and illness assessments using evidence-based techniques.

Initiate and plan care conferences for individual patients or populations.

Assist the team in establishing goals and measures for nursing care progress.

Design and evaluate educational programs for patients, families, and groups.

Collaborate to resolve issues related to patient care and resources.

Lead clinical practice and quality improvement initiatives for the unit.

Mentor nurses to develop skills and incorporate evidence into practice.

Analyze data from quality reports to identify trends for improvement.
Requirements
Completion of an accredited graduate-level Clinical Nurse Specialist Program.

Master's degree in nursing with a clinical focus.
,
Certification as ACCNS-Neonatal and current RN licensure in Michigan.
,
Minimum of two years of RN experience in the NICU.
