$18.00/hour | Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire Opportunity
Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Clinical Documentation Review Specialist to support medical billing and compliance operations in a remote environment. This role focuses on reviewing patient records, auditing documentation across multiple systems, and ensuring accuracy and compliance for billing and reporting purposes.
This is a contract assignment with the potential to convert to a permanent role based on performance, attendance, and business needs.
Schedule
• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Shift hours between 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM EST (some flexibility)
• 8-hour daily shifts
Compensation & Benefits
• $18.00 per hour, paid biweekly
• Full-time benefits available after 90 days
• 401(k) with company match available after 1 year of service (eligibility applies)
Key Responsibilities
• Organize and prioritize active and completed patient files related to orders and billing audit requests
• Process documentation requests in accordance with department policies and procedures
• Support special project chart reviews as assigned by medical billing leadership
• Review patient records to ensure clinical documentation meets compliance standards and supports accurate billing
• Audit chart notes and records across multiple internal systems to ensure consistency and accuracy
Required Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED required
• 3+ years of medical industry experience or call center/customer service experience
• Working knowledge of medical terminology
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
• Strong attendance and reliability (mandatory during first 90 days)
Preferred Experience
• Experience with medical documentation review, chart review, or records auditing
• Background in regulated or compliance-driven environments handling confidential, high-volume data
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has experience working in healthcare operations, medical records, or administrative support roles involving documentation accuracy, compliance, and multi-system data review.
