Clinical Data Analyst

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Data Analyst to join our healthcare team. This role involves analyzing complex clinical data to support research, clinical trials, and healthcare operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health information management, data analysis, and system design, with experience working with databases, SQL, and clinical trial data. Duties • Collect, organize, and manage clinical data from various sources including electronic health records and databases • Perform detailed data analysis using SQL and other analytical tools to identify trends and insights relevant to clinical trials and healthcare delivery • Design and optimize data systems to improve data collection processes and ensure data integrity • Support the management of health information systems such as Epic and other healthcare IT platforms • Conduct data mining to uncover patterns that can inform clinical decision-making and research initiatives • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including bioinformatics, managed care, and IT professionals to develop system design solutions • Ensure compliance with medical terminology standards and health information management protocols • Assist in the development of reports and presentations for stakeholders based on analyzed data • Maintain rigorous documentation of data management procedures and system configurations Skills • Proficiency in Epic electronic health record systems and experience with managed care environments • Strong understanding of databases, SQL, and system design principles for healthcare applications • Knowledge of clinical trials processes, bioinformatics, and health information management standards • Familiarity with medical terminology, data collection methods, and acute care settings • Expertise in data mining, analysis skills, and statistical tools for extracting meaningful insights from large datasets • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on data analysis techniques • Ability to work effectively within IT teams on system design projects related to healthcare data systems • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing complex datasets • Prior experience in medical research or clinical environments is highly desirable This position is integral to advancing healthcare research through sophisticated data analysis and system development.
