Client Advisory Services Associate
Clark Nuber PS is a rapidly growing firm seeking a Client Advisory Services Associate to join their team. This role involves providing GAAP-based accounting and operational support to a diverse range of clients, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and advising on compliance issues.ResponsibilitiesSuccessfully complete monthly, quarterly, and annual closes which include, but are not limited to, reconciling bank and credit card accounts, evaluating accounts receivable and payable balances, and reviewing fixed asset detailPrepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and analyze accounting records and other financial reports for internal and external usersCalculate, prepare, and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax forms at the local, state, & federal level for clients (excluding federal income tax filings)Perform other operational compliance for clients, which may include but is not limited to filing business licenses, maintaining permitting, and preparing census filingsPerform basic bookkeeping functions for assigned clients at transaction levelBasic operational accounting functions include accounts receivable, accounts payable and check runs, data entry, and serving as interim staff for external clientsOversee clients' bookkeeping, accounting records, and processes to ensure accuracy of information, and provide support for year-end audit or tax preparationReview financial reports in preparation for board meetings as requiredIdentify potential compliance issues and advise clients on resolutionIn collaboration with more experienced team members, set up new clients in selected accounting system, create chart of accounts, build processes to maintain accurate client records, and build reportsEnsure client accounting system structure and report bundle meet the needs of the end users (management, board, and compliance)Provide initial and ongoing training to clients on general business, bookkeeping, accounting, segregation of duties, and other basic internal controlsPerform other duties as assigned by senior, manager, or Shareholder in charge of CAS to support the needs of the department and organizationEstablish annual goals in line with the CAS team and firm and seek out coaching proactivelySkillsBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related preferred or a combination of education and directly related work experienceA minimum of 1 year of experience providing full-charge bookkeeping, accounting systems, and processesYou must pass a background check, including a credit check at any time to remain eligible for this positionWorking towards CPA certification desiredBenefitsComprehensive Insurance Coverage: We offer fully paid medical, dental, vision, life, short-term and long-term disability, and AD&D insurance for employees.
